Fast and Parallel

Independent with universal integration
The TestLogiq® system from MAHLE Powertrain offers applications for flexible test solutions and enables short processing times for complex diagnostic tests. The runtime environment, which executes the created diagnostic procedures, operates independently from the operating system and the hardware. The TestLogiq® system supports various Vehicle Communication Interfaces (VCI) – such as analog connections, MAHLE Powertrain DataWorks® VCI, rolling roads or other various test devices (e.g. Vector, Softing, etc.). It can also be adapted to a customer-specific VCI.

Saving time with parallel test processes
The TestLogiq® runtime environment supports the execution of simultaneous protocols from multiple sources. For example, analog and CAN bus information can be retrieved simultaneously. Control modules in the vehicle can be addressed and tested at the same time. The system offers tremendous practical advantages. By executing many diagnostic tests in parallel, the processing time can be efficiently reduced. In production applications at various OEMs, MAHLE Powertrain’s TestLogiq® has proven to be a stable and efficient system. Additionally, system expansion allows implementation and support at other manufacturing locations of an OEM to be possible without significant additional expense.

High level of test automation at low cost
The TestLogiq® system allows for streamlining of complex processes and diagnostic tests. In addition to simple diagnostics, this system supports the measurement and calibration of vehicle configuration data. It also allows for simultaneous diagnostics, configuration and measurement by being architected for parallel testing. To this end, TestLogiq® supports the following protocols:

KWP 2000
ISO-9141
J-1850
J-1939
ISO-14229
ISO-14230
CAN
Generic OBD-II
Various customer specific protocols

The link traffic from any protocol can also be saved as a trace file. The test sequences are created with the Visual Authoring Tool® (VAT®). The TestLogiq® system provides an efficient platform to easily implement and maintain complex test processes with optimum flexibility and minimum personnel resources.

TestLogiq®-Mobile: Flexibility and mobility for complex test processes
TestLogiq®-Mobile – the solution for executing applications from the TestLogiq® system in a handheld test platform. The test programs are run as Windows applications directly on mobile test devices running Windows CE (Pocket PC) platforms. The mobile solutions provide low costs, low weight, low power consumption and their ergonomic shape for use in everyday testing.

EVAP tester (Evaporative System)
One practical example of a TestLogiq® system is the EVAP tester, which was specially developed for detecting leaks in fuel systems. The EVAP tester controls an external vacuum pump, a pressure sensor and a control valve changed via an analog/digital control board. It is connected to a mobile PC via a USB interface. The Test- Logiq® runtime environment controls the actions of the pump and the valve during the test process. Within a one minute test cycle, the EVAP tester detects leaks measuring less than 0.25 mm in diameter on fuel tank volumes of as much as 200 liters. Additionally, the EVAP tester manages the internal battery status of the system, ensuring that the battery is never completely discharged. This is required to keep the responses of the pump and sensor consistent. Additionally, the EVAP tester is capable of transmitting the results via the network to a remote information system when used in conjunction with the ReportLogiq® system. This allows the test history to be recorded and evaluated. With the help of the AdminLogiq® system, testers can also be managed centrally via the network.
