 | | Valve tappets, as well as rocker arms, are subject to special tribological requirements. Chilled cast iron, with its excellent properties, has been successfully used for many years.
At MAHLE we cast and machine in a high volume a wide range valve tappets. We are prepared to manufacture all kind of valve tappets independently of its geometrical shape, dimensional tolerances or surface quality.
Our experience in heat treatment and surface treatment, together with the most up-to date equipment, enables us to adjust the contact surface hardness to suit the cam. We can supply phosphated, nitrided, nitrocarburized, blued or specially blued valve tappets. |
